A thrilling cricket match unfolded as MI Cape Town secured their second victory of the campaign, dominating the Joburg Super Kings in a 36-run triumph. The star of the show was Ryan Rickelton, who smashed his second century of the season, an unbeaten 113 off just 60 deliveries. This incredible knock, coupled with a blistering opening partnership with Rassie van der Dussen, set the tone for a formidable total of 234/3.
But here's where it gets controversial... The match started with a bang, quite literally, as the first over yielded a whopping 20 runs. MI Cape Town's openers, Rickelton and van der Dussen, were on fire, capitalizing on some wayward bowling from the Super Kings. Boundaries were flowing freely, and the pair brought up their half-centuries in style, leaving the opposition shell-shocked.
